all you need is ...
Love’s not an abstract noun
Love’s not empty words
Love is what you do
It’s simple, but not easy
Love is sharing what you have with those who need it
Love is fighting oppression wherever you see it wherever you see it
Love is loving everyone, not just those who love you back!
All you need is love? X4
You might also need food (foo-oo-ood)
You might also need clean water (clean waaa-teer)
You might also need shelter if you want to survive (she---e---e-elteeeer)
If you’ve got love and no food – you’re going to be really screwed hungry
If you’ve got love and no water – then how you going to raise your daughter?
(That was a gratuitous rhyme there!)
You can’t have love without equality
You can’t have equality without democracy
You can’t have democracy without underdstanding
You see it’s actually quite complex
All you need is …x3
After this brief re-appraisal of the situation as outlined by John Lennon back in the 1960s,
I think we’ve all agreed that love is very important
but we propose to redefine love as something you actually do,
not something you merely say, over and over and over and over and over again
Like the hippies do!
I think we’ve all agreed
That love is one of the things you need
But you can’t have love without organisation
No, love and organization are not mutually exclusive
Organisation is love in action
